Service Description

OM Connection highly recommends this thorough procedure, acronym J.A.D., to be performed after the Patient has received 2-5 standard treatments. At that point the Patient has developed greater awareness of his/her body and has established trust & rapport with the Practitioner to support a deep dive into a detailed trauma history intake. The idea is to identify the first trauma you were not able to fully process and move forward from. From infancy, we naturally accrue bumps & bruises, illnesses, shocks & disappointments. We process them, learn some kind of a lesson, get better physically - not being afraid but having valuable experience to better navigate life. At some point there may be a trauma event which does not get fully processed. It could stem from many things happening in a short period of time. It could happen from an injury or illness happening around the time of an emotional shock, i.e. the death of a grandparent, divorce in the family, moving to another town, etc. Instead of being an experience that leads to maturity & wisdom, there is a physical/emotional stuckness. It results in a body location that future traumas accumulate around, e.g. right side shoulder, gallbladder, immune system. During the JAD session we will go through a set of palpations on the abdomen & neck, noting any places that give pressure pain or "weird" sensations. We will do another set of palpations, this time applying pressure to key locations on the limbs to test if pressure applied there, makes the pressure pain on the abdomen or neck go away. Those places on the limbs indicate where the body would like to be needled to assist in resolving a previous trauma. A JAD session paves the way for everything else we do: acupuncture, bodywork, herbs, lifestyle changes, to be much more effective because our efforts are no longer being neutralized by the hidden trauma long forgotten but recorded in the tissues. The time allocated to a JAD session is based on how long the entire process usually takes, including filling out the trauma history during the appointment. Patients may choose to fill out the Trauma history in advance, thereby reducing the in-person appointment by 40 minutes. Look for the shorter JAD session available in the Services Menu if you want to do the paperwork in advance. Any time not used in the JAD session will be transferred to future appointments.

Cancellation Policy

To alter a scheduled appointment, call or text 904-580-3980, or use the WhatsApp chat feature on the website to communicate what you want to change. The timestamp of the message will be construed as the time notice was given to the Clinic. Rescheduling an appointment does not result in a fee. The Clinic understands there is a need for flexibility with so many demands for your time. Try your best to not reschedule at the last moment or multiple times for the same appointment. It turns out the more stressed you are over demands on you, getting a treatment at that time can replenish reserves so you do not get depleted, which worsens health & happiness. Cancellations only results in a fee if the appointment is cancelled within 48 hours (2 calendar days) of the scheduled appointment. The cancellation fee is 50% of the price of the services booked. OM Connection reserves the right to wave the Cancellation Fee on a case by case basis. OM Connection reserves the right to interpret a Reschedule done within 48 hours of the appointment that then leads to a Cancellation as a Cancellation Fee triggering event. A No-show+no-call event will be charged the full price of the services booked. In the case of deposits collected online at the time of booking, those will be applied against the Cancellation Fee or No-show+no-call Fee, whichever fee has been incurred.
